The Plan!

So again, the point of this blog is to track my progress toward not only a 1850pt Space Marine army, but as part of that to show my progress with the controlled buy goal my friend and I have developed.

What I am allowed to spend is $150 by Jan 31st, with $50 budget per month after that, unspent money can roll forward.  This is for models only and does not cover paints, basing materials, storage/carrying, codex, etc.  All purchases will be through our FLGS.  Additionally, our FLGS gives a $10 credit for every $100 spent (you get 1 "punch" for every $10 spent, 10 punches = $10 credit), that does not count against budgets.  I start the contest with 6 punches.

January -
Space Marine Battlebox $110
Chaplain on Bike $29.75
(random stuff with Chaplain so total ticket is $140+ so I get another $10 credit)
$10 moving forward, $20 credit moving forward

February -
Librarian in Terminator Armor FREE ($20 credit and pocket change)
$60 moving forward

March -
Space Marine Battlebox $110
$10 credit moving forward

April -
Dreadnought $44.50
(paints to bring total ticket to $50, bringing me to 6 punches toward next $10 credit)
$5 moving forward, $10 credit moving forward

May -
Terminator Assault Squad $50
$5 moving forward, $20 credit moving forward

June -
Vindicator $49.50
(random junk to get to $50 ticket for 5 more punches)
$5 moving forward, $20 credit moving forward

July -
Devastators $35
(paints/etc to get 4 more punches)
$15 moving forward, $30 credit moving forward

August -
No planned purchases
$65 moving forward, $30 credit moving forward

September -
Ravenwing Battlebox $10 ($105 - $65 cash - $30 credit)

This should give me the time to get everything painted and ready for Da Boyz 2012 (in October).  If my friend finishes his 1850 list first, I will likely just spend the extra $10 in August and move the purchase of the RW Battlebox up a month.  Also, for clarification, 5 Space Marine Bikes  is $75 MSRP, the Ravenwing Battlebox MSRP is $105 and comes with 6 Space Marine Bikes, an Attack Bike, and a Land Speeder.  Well worth the $30 upgrade (especially since I am not paying for it, my credits are!).
